L.E.S. UK are a family run business located just outside Loughborough, serving customers throughout the Midlands. We have been providing exemplary services as electrical contractors for over 40 years.
We pride ourselves on our time efficient, friendly team of electrical engineers and office staff, encouraging training and further education opportunities to ensure our business not only complies with current regulations but, so we can offer our customers advanced and economical solutions.
Our in-house health, safety and well-being manager ensures all our work is carried out inline with the up to date health and safety regulations, proving our clients with in depth RAMs paperwork and site inspections for reassurance. All employees carry and utilise PPE and undergo regular training inline with our policies and procedures. As a company working in such a high risk industry, health and safety is paramount to us.

We cover a diverse range of sectors including industrial, commercial, civil and education and our versatile services cover all aspects of electrical works from 3 phase high current sub-main and supplies, factory machine installation and repair; through to computer networking, audiovisual, door entry control, bespoke systems, and more.
With health and safety at the forefront of our work ethic, we can also offer other electrical contractors bespoke health and safety consultancy. Often overlooked, the implications of not following health and safety rules and regulations can be both dangerous and costly. We offer electrical contractor services ranging from site visits to assistance with RAMs and audit paperwork.

The Man at the Top
With over forty years experience within the electrical industry and a portfolio of projects spanning the United Kingdom. Leslie has worked with some of the countries top clientele, fitted chains of renowned storefronts, night clubs and snooker halls, and carried out installations throughout the industrial spectrum.
He began his career working in his father’s small electrical shop in Loughborough and still works closely with local businesses, supporting the industry with a hands on, customer facing approach whilst implementing excellent standards of work.
His drive to maintain such high specification for his clients means L.E.S. UK will always use top quality hardware, sourced from reliable vendors and installed safely and professionally.

Chief Electrical Engineer
Our chief electrical engineer with many years of hands on experience in his field. Executing the highest levels of electrical works and managing projects and installations throughout the country. Ben brings a friendly yet professional approach to the business, working closely with clients to ensure every job exceeds expectations.
Ben’s extensive knowledge ensures customers will not be left behind, bringing up to date and compliant technology to the forefront whilst maintaining competitive costs without detriment to the finished work.
His complex thinking and ‘out of the box’ initiative means he can tailor aspects of work to provide the customer with a truly bespoke finish.

Having worked alongside Leslie for over three decades, Elspeth provides extensive expertise within the business. Whether it be accounts related or a works enquiry, she will be able to assist. Health & Safety / Office Manager
Qualified in accounting and health and safety, Alex is confident in responding to all related enquiries. Having previously worked in the haulage industry, Alex is known for her prompt and precise work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude, ensuring correspondence is quick and informative, prioritising the needs and requirements of the client.
Her focus on positive customer relations and a safe working environment ensures all our clients are reassured and satisfied with the highest levels of professionalism. Qualifying Manager
Colin has known Leslie since he was an apprentice himself may decades ago. After many years gaining an extensive knowledge base, he now works for L.E.S. UK as the Qualifying Manager. His vast portfolio of electrical qualifications ensures his work is of the highest standard.
His logical and technical approach to his work ensures the job is thorough, using the most up to date technologies. As the Qualifying Manager, Colin maintains a fantastic record to ensure all works are compliant and completed within the current regulations. He strives to achieve full customer satisfaction, and his friendly and approachable attitude makes him an attribute to the team.

Electrical Testing Engineer
Having vast experience throughout the electrical industry, Mick is one of our senior contract engineers. His knowledge spans decades and the passion for his career shows through in his expert quality of workmanship.
His friendly face can be found onsite throughout projects covering the country and his high level of competence makes him an irreplaceable member of the L.E.S. UK Team.

Electrical Apprentice
Matt came to L.E.S. UK for his work placement a few years ago, and thrived in the bustling and diverse range within the business. His willingness and determination to work didn't go unnoticed and he was taken on as an apprentice in 2024.
He remains professional under pressure and works hard to ensure he is constantly learning and expanding his understanding of the electrical industry. He excels in his education which transcends into his work on site.

A qualified F-Gas engineer, Paul has many years within the industry alongside extensive technical knowledge in his field.
